The tea bag recycled

I'm Mexican and I like to make my herbal tea without any packaging, obviously I have the classic bags of herbs just in case. Now I am living in Iceland and I buy the box with tea bags (I always dry my herb basil, mint, parsley, thyme and rosemary to make tea) by obligation in this country must be recycled however the information is not clear and also it is not known where the waste goes or how it is recycled as in most countries.

We have the classic little bags with thread and some with staple, (the staple is a material that can be recycled continuously, however they are so small that ideally you keep them in a glass bottle and when you have enough you can take them to a recycling center, that would be ideal). I avoid buying the tea bags stapled.

My recycling process is: I prepare my tea, I let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes and remove and then sweeten with honey (if you sweeten and this the bag will become sticky and it is difficult to separate the peel and the grass) When I finish my tea, I let the bag dry and separate the pieces: bag, thread and label.

The label I throw in cardboard and paper.

The yarn I keep it

The bags I open carefully trying not to break, I throw the herb in the organic or in the ground where I stir for my pots and I keep the paper.

Paper and yarn could be recycled better if we had some person or company that used these materials for something (paper: gardening, to make old paper for notebooks, or other) (yarn: fabrics, to place another labels, etc.)., help the collection through other companies with special recycling bins with the correct signals and government institutions that help at no cost to the companies that recycle but would help this process that requires a lot of work and information.

La bolsa de té reciclada.

Yo soy mexicana y me gusta hacer mi té con hierbas sin ningun empaque, obviamente tengo las clásicas bolsitas con hierbas por si acaso.

Ahora vivo en Islandia y compro la caja con bolsitas de té (siempre seco mi hierba de albahaca, menta, perejil, tomillo y romero para hacer té) por obligación en este país se debe reciclar sin embargo la información no esta clara y tampoco se sabe a donde va la basura o como se esta reciclando como en la mayoria de los paises.

Tenemos las clásicas bolsitas con hilo y otras con grapa, (la grapa es un material que se puede reciclar continuamente, sin embargo son tan pequeñas que lo ideal es guardar en una botella de vidrio y cuando tengas bastantes se puedan llevar a un centro de reciclaje, eso seria lo ideal). Evito comprar las bolsas de té de grapa.

Mi proceso de reciclaje es: preparo mi té dejo reposar por 2 o 3 minutos y retiro y después endulzo con miel (si endulzas y esta la bolsita se quedara pegajosa y es difícil separar el papel y la hierba) Al terminar mi té, dejo que se seque la bolsita y separo las piezas: bolsa, hilo y etiqueta.

La etiqueta la tiro en el bote cartón y papel.

El hilo lo guardo

Las bolsas las abro con cuidado procurando no romper, tiro la hierba en lo orgánico o en la tierra donde revuelvo para mis macetas y guardo el papel.

El papel y el hilo se podría reciclar mejor si tuvieramos alguna persona o empresa que utilizara estos materiales para algo (el papel: jardineria, para hacer papel antiguo para cuadernos, u otro) (el hilo: tejidos, colocar otra ves etiquetas, u otro)., ayudar a la recolección por medio de otras empresas con botes especiales con las senalizaciones correctas e instituciones gubernamentales que ayuden sin ningun costo a las empresas o personas que reciclan cualquier material, ayudarían mucho a este proceso que requiere mucho trabajo e información.

Si tu eres esa persona o sabes de alguien que requiera este material para un reciclado adecuado, por favor escribenos para crear una base de datos en donde podamos encontrar gente que vive con la producción del uso de materiales desechados y ayuda que los materiales no sean basura y se queden estancados.
